We had a comfortable and pleasant stay at Otowaya Ryokan. The hotel breakfast in the second-floor dining room was delicious. The ladies onsen was lovely and relaxing, with both an indoor and outdoor onsen. The tatami mat room with futons was a nice touch. Despite some minor flaws, we found the overall experience to be enjoyable.

Had a fantastic time on my Easter trip! the breakfast was delicious with a wide range of options to choose from, and the outdoor Onsen was great for relaxation after a long day of skiing. the location was perfect; just a short walk to the train station, eateries, and convenience store. I also enjoyed the tatami mat room with futons which was quite comfortable.
My room had a strong cigarette smell that was quite discomforting, even though I was informed it was a non-smoking room. the maintenance of the Ryokan could be improved.

We had an amazing stay in this hotel. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful despite the language barrier. The traditional rooms were large and spacious, with private baths and toilets. The setting in the mountains was very special, and the public and private onsen were excellent. We especially loved the outdoor hot spring bath. The hotel also provided a delicious breakfast and was located conveniently near the train station.
Don't have any issues at all.

Located in the heart of town, this Ryokan had a great central location and was very clean and tidy. The staff were accommodating and approachable, making our stay enjoyable. We particularly enjoyed the unique outdoor hot baths that changed every other day to alternate between men and women.
While the traditional futon beds were interesting and authentic, some people may find them slightly uncomfortable. Additionally, communication was a bit challenging as the staff language skills were limited. Nonetheless, the overall experience was great with fantastic amenities and many options for dining in town.
